The aviation training industry has built excellent tools for memorization: test prep apps, flashcard systems, question banks. Those tools serve a real purpose. The FAA knowledge test exists for a reason.
But the accidents that keep happening — the VFR-into-IMC, the continued-VFR despite-weather, the fuel-exhaustion despite-the-math — are not caused by forgetting a regulation. They are caused by the absence of trained judgment.

Safety Culture First
True Course exists to improve aviation safety. Every product decision, feature priority, and design choice is evaluated through that lens. Everything else is secondary.
Judgment Over Recall
Memorizing facts is not training for decisions. A pilot who can recite VFR minimums but cannot manage the pressure to continue a flight into deteriorating conditions has not been adequately prepared.
Privacy as Respect
Pilots and student pilots deserve training tools that protect their data and dignity. Privacy is not a compliance checkbox — it is a fundamental expression of respect for the people using the platform.
Supplement, Not Replace
True Course is built to work alongside certificated flight instructors, not compete with them. The profession of flight instruction is irreplaceable. We fill the gap between sessions, not the sessions themselves.
Built Around a Real Gap
Aviation training has two strong endpoints: certified flight instruction in the airplane, and standardized knowledge testing for certification. What exists between them — the daily, ongoing ground training that builds judgment over time — is largely underserved.
